The village of Aus is well known as a biodiversity hotspot (Succulent
Karoo) and for its world-famous wild horses and exquisite natural
vistas.
Its colonial history incudes the beautifully restored Bahnhof Hotel,
a national monument (WWI concentration camp),

The settlement lies one hour from Kolmanskop and L deritz, and
there are plans to develop a green hydrogen plant nearby.
This rural paradise includes bicycle routes, nature walks, stargazing,
simple village life as well as constant access to extensive townlands
around Aus (about 25,000 hectares).
